Congratulations to Marley Geddes, our Honours Environmental Science student who was awarded the Dalhousie University Medal for being the top graduating student in Environmental Science. It is so great to see all her hard work paying off.
After a long day of much digging through rocks we now have a new meteorological station in our Moose Pit Brook Watershed! Now we can estimate evapotranspiration, calculate water budgets and so much more! Thanks so much to Marley Geddes and to Rachel and DJ from Campbell Scientific for their hard work.
Our research group’s work on long-term water quality trends in Kejimkujik Calibrated Catchments was presented today at the CGU AGU joint meeting in Montreal, PQ in an invited talk by Shannon Sterling. Kara Webster (Can Forest Service) and Cathy Eimers (Trent) organized this important session that highlighted the need for a network of long-term ecosystem research sites in Canada.
